New dryer? Get the vent ready first
A new dryer pushed back against an old, crushed foil duct will dry slowly and run hot. When you replace a dryer, it is the right time to clean the run and swap the connector for semi-rigid metal. Book us before or right after delivery and we will clean the duct, fit the new connector, and measure airflow so you know the new dryer has a clear path.
Why not foil or vinyl
Flexible foil and white vinyl ducts sag, crush behind the dryer and trap lint in their ridges. Most dryer makers call for rigid or semi-rigid metal. Foil vs semi-rigid ducts, explained
What we do not do
We do not cut new holes through walls or roofs, and we do not touch gas lines. If a vent needs rerouting or a gas dryer needs reconnecting, we tell you what we found and refer you to the right licensed trade.
