Signs your vent needs a repair, not just a cleaning
- The outside flap does not open when the dryer runs, or never closes
- Lint or moisture shows up in the laundry room or behind the dryer
- The connector behind the dryer is white plastic or crinkly foil
- The vent ends in the attic, garage, crawl space or under a manufactured home instead of outdoors
- Airflow stays weak even after a cleaning
